All riders must wear a helmet (your own or provided by Philly by Segway).
All riders must bring valid identification.
All riders must read and sign a waiver of liability.
Segway riders must be 12-years-old or older. If a rider is under 18, they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult who can sign the waiver form.
All riders must weigh between 100lbs - 300lbs.
All riders must complete Segway training to their guide's satisfaction.
Please keep in mind that you will be standing for the duration of your tour - these recommendations are for your comfort and safety:
Wear comfortable but not loose clothing.
Wear secure, flat, comfortable shoes, preferably close-toed sneakers or athletic shoes. Flip-flops, high heels, or wedges are not appropriate.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER - we ride rain or shine. If it is a cold day, dress as if you are going skiing (gloves, hat, coat, etc.). If it is a hot, sunny day, wear sunscreen, bring sunglasses, and a water bottle. You will be outside for the duration of your tour.
Please arrive early. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
After you check in, there will be a 30 minute training session including an instructional video. You must complete this training to your guide's satisfaction - even if you've ridden a Segway before.
Once everyone is trained and feels confident riding a Segway, we start the tour!
Philly by Segway reserves the right to decline a tour to anyone. It is imperative that riders follow guide instructions for their safety and the safety of the group.

Took the tour with our guide Katie and had a great afternoon! Katie was patient and thorough as she trained us (our fist time on a segway). She was very personable, informative and responsible as she led the tour. Tasting all the cheesesteaks was so much fun too! Great experience, would certainly recommend it.

We planned our day around this tour and absolutely loved it! Out teenagers did t want the tour to end! We arrived early and were welcomed and they even started our tour early. We watched the mandatory safety video and then they ensured we were comfortable right in the office. It was easy and we seemed to take to it very easily. Then we were off...we went through the streets and sometimes the side walks but boy did we see Philly! Just loved how much ground we covered. We got to soak up the city and loved hearing the stories along the way. We didn’t wear the ear pieces so there were times we missed a detail or two but all in all we loved it. In addition. To see all the cites and enjoy the “rolling” we got to try 5 philly cheese steaks. We just sampled a small portion of the sub so by the end of the tour you will really have a complete sub. It was super fun and each place had their own speciality. We had our favorite but we won’t ruin it for you. But let me say my son is Gluten free and the last stop had GF bread So it was a super treat he was able to taste a sub. The Segway was a blast to ride! My feet did get hot so I would definitely wear tennis shoes. It wasn’t a problem we got to stop On this cool street between cool buildings so it was a great place to rest our feet. We had a bathroom break at stop three and water was provided through trip. Owen provides great customer service at each restaurant so we didn’t have to wait. We lucked out today and there weren’t any lines. He called ahead at three of the places which made it super easy. It was great to take in these little breaks between the segway’ing. He made sure were we safe at all times but still allowed us to have fun! All in all it was a highlight of our trip to Philly and we’d highly recommend it to anyone! It’s a must!!! super fun!!!!

We were mildly looking forward to this excursion. However, with Barry as our guide, we had so much fun! He’s such a caring and pleasant guy that loves his job. The cheesesteaks were really good and all five of us had a wonderful time.
