All riders must wear a helmet (your own or provided by Philly by Segway).
All riders must bring valid identification.
All riders must read and sign a waiver of liability.
Segway riders must be 12-years-old or older. If a rider is under 18, they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult who can sign the waiver form.
All riders must weigh between 100lbs - 300lbs.
All riders must complete Segway training to their guide's satisfaction.
Please keep in mind that you will be standing for the duration of your tour - these recommendations are for your comfort and safety:
Wear comfortable but not loose clothing.
Wear secure, flat, comfortable shoes, preferably close-toed sneakers or athletic shoes. Flip-flops, high heels, or wedges are not appropriate.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER - we ride rain or shine. If it is a cold day, dress as if you are going skiing (gloves, hat, coat, etc.). If it is a hot, sunny day, wear sunscreen, bring sunglasses, and a water bottle. You will be outside for the duration of your tour.
Please arrive early. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
After you check in, there will be a 30 minute training session including an instructional video. You must complete this training to your guide's satisfaction - even if you've ridden a Segway before.
Once everyone is trained and feels confident riding a Segway, we start the tour!
Philly by Segway reserves the right to decline a tour to anyone. It is imperative that riders follow guide instructions for their safety and the safety of the group.

My friends and I had soooo much fun riding the Segways, touring Philly, and sampling different cheesesteaks!!! Our host Deshon was amazing! He ensured our safety and was very knowledgeable about that Philly cheesesteak life!!! Thanks D!!!

This tour was one of the best experiences we had in Philadelphia. James, our tour guide, did an excellent job helping us feel comfortable, and he did a great job navigating us through the streets of Philadelphia. At each stop, our cheesesteaks were ready and excellent. James provided us with information regarding the sites that we traveled by and did so in a way that was enjoyable yet informational. He was very professional and family-friendly in his commentary. Within a few hours, he uploaded all of the photos of us that he took while we were on the tour. The Segways were in great share, and they were all dependable. Your visit to Philadelphia won't be complete if you don't do this tour.

This was my first Segway experience but it will be something I do everywhere I visit. Adding food stops was a huge PLUS. PHLY cheesesteaks are a must when visiting. I joined my husband for his work trip. I found this tour to do solo. The group size is a max 8 person. Our guide was Darnell. Darnell is extremely personable, knowledgeable and was always aware of keeping us safe. We had a couple in our group chat hats get behind at times, but he was on top of making sure we regrouped when necessary. I was STUFFED after our tour. I’d do this trip again for sure. Being able to cover a large area of the city by Segway was easy and gave me perspective on areas I wouldn’t have covered by foot, and that I needed to get to before I leave this bustling city. So much to see, experience and TASTE!
