Old City Philadelphia has been continuously inhabited since 1702, making it the oldest residential area in the country – with some residents never really leaving.

My family and I had a wonderful time going on a ghost walking tour with Steve Wednesday evening. We are not from Philadelphia area and so it was very fun to walk past multiple historical sights and learn about their history. Learning about the haunting history of the historical sights made it all the more interesting. It was nice to be in such a small group since that made it feel more personal and easier to interact with our group. We did the extended tour and I am so glad we did since those last few extra stops were my favorite ones. Thank you for such a wonderful and spooky experience. I would highly recommend this family-friendly tour to anyone else looking for a fun way to tour Philadelphia and learn about its interesting history. -Edythe :)

James was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to. My son really enjoyed it also. He was retelling the stories to his friends that James told on our walk.

Our whole family, including 9 and 13 year old girls, really enjoyed the tour. It was a good mix of well known and more obscure history with paranormal storytelling that kept everyone interested. You get to hear about famous heroes and villains and their appearances at Old City landmarks. Our guide, James, was enthusiastic and engaging. My only disappointment was I couldn’t see Kosciusko’s ghost, but spirits are tricky like that.
