We purchased our tickets online and arrived at the Visitor Center early to start our day as soon as we could. When we went to the attendant standing near the Big Bus, he printed our tickets and pointed to a bus belonging to another company and told us it would be leaving within minutes. Upon getting to that bus, two attendants explained that, because a large festival was in town, a large portion of the stops were not available via the bus tour but that we could get off and walk to those attractions if we wanted. Then, we boarded the bus only to be told that two more stops had been removed from the tour that day. In total, 14 of the 28 stops this particular bus normally made were eliminated. Nothing about this was on any site prior to our ordering, and when I called to request at least a partial refund, I was referred to another number. Nobody answered at that one. By the way, we did try walking to those attractions we couldn't reach by bus. It took hours. We were aboard the bus less than 30 minutes in total all day. Oh, and those short 15-ish minutes between buses at the various stops were more like 40-ish. Now, for complete disclosure, this was on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. So, this wouldn't have been a surprise to the company. This would've had to have been planned for some time, yet for unsuspecting travelers looking for a way to see the good ole City of Brotherly Love, they went ahead and charged full price for what they knew would be a service at a level of about half or a little less. Thanks, Big Bus. I'll keep trying to call about that refund, and I have zero plans to return to Philly.
