Photo Safari in Ketchikan, Alaska. Spend 3 hrs "off the tourist beaten path".

Overview
We help you take iconic photographs of several locations in the Ketchikan area, including historical, cultural and nature attractions. We offer advanced and basic photographic instruction for cell phone, poin'n'shoot & DSLR camera users. We conduct our tours over a set route of 7 or 8 different locations with each location offering unique photo opportunities AND teaching opportunities. Although a majority of my photography instruction is equally applicable to BOTH cell phones, point’n'shoots and DSLR cameras, some of my instruction is specific to DSLR users.

Photo techniques taught for BOTH DSLR & cell phone & point’n’shoots include: composition, subject identity, subject proximity, subject balance, exposure, cropping, angle of approach, light compensation, macro photography...

We look forward to serving you soon.

The phot experience exceed our expectations for sure. Jeff, our guide made it awesome. Gave us some input in photography in regards on how to get better shots and better nuances in the pics.

If you want small tour size, history while driving through town and to see totem poles this might be the one for you. This excursion is perfect for beginners or those looking to learn more about your camera phone settings. Totem Bright Park was the best stop and small group size kept us from getting in each others way for the shots. Reason for Average Rating: I was hoping this excursion was going to be one of the highlights of my trip - but it fell a little short and was only impressed with 2 of the stops (one we walked to from the port). There was some poor planning due to the July 4th activities, so maybe that's why we went to the stops we did. More advanced photographers will enjoy the small tour size and that it is off the beaten paths - But don't expect to learn much in regards to photography that you don't already know.

Yes, Jenvincha you did sign up for this tour for the 4th of July and Ketchikan does have a parade. The city does close off the street adjacent to ALL the Ketchikan cruise ship docks so, WITH prior planning, I parked our van near our first site (3 blocks from your pier #1) and walked to greet you. We then commenced our regular tour to 8 different sites for outstanding photo ops. Most people are thrilled with our choice of 8 stops in 3 hours as the variety offers so many photo options to focus on....... just check out our website to see many photos that our guests have share with us. Kindly, Rob.

Jeff was a fun and informative guide. It was great working with him and having him show us features and techniques we can do with our cell phones as well as our cameras. We got to see and do many things I'm sure we would have missed without his guidance. It has made a challenge for me to even get better and more detailed photographs out of my phone. My Motorola Ace 5G was the first one he's ever seen. Even so his knowledge allowed us to extend the usefulness and quality of photos of which this phone is capable. I highly recommend this tour if what you want to learn is how to get better photographs from your camera.
