Photo Safari in Ketchikan, Alaska. Spend 3 hrs "off the tourist beaten path".

Overview
We help you take iconic photographs of several locations in the Ketchikan area, including historical, cultural and nature attractions. We offer advanced and basic photographic instruction for cell phone, poin'n'shoot & DSLR camera users. We conduct our tours over a set route of 7 or 8 different locations with each location offering unique photo opportunities AND teaching opportunities. Although a majority of my photography instruction is equally applicable to BOTH cell phones, point’n'shoots and DSLR cameras, some of my instruction is specific to DSLR users.

Photo techniques taught for BOTH DSLR & cell phone & point’n’shoots include: composition, subject identity, subject proximity, subject balance, exposure, cropping, angle of approach, light compensation, macro photography...

We look forward to serving you soon.

Our guide was Ben. Small group van which made it even more memorable! Ben truly loves his job & passes on to his customers! We were very impressed of Ben’s knowledge of Ketchikan. Ben helped us all with giving us tips on taking awesome pictures. We seen so many eagle’s, native flowers to the area, totem poles. Very satisfied!! Ben went the extra mile to stop for special cookies and were they ever good!! Ben also had a cooler filled with water for us all. We highly recommend Ketchikan photo safari!

I learned several things about my camera and better ways to take photos. However, the guide left me at the second stop and did not return for me. I was left to walk back to the ship. My backpack was still on the van with my ID and money. I was offered the next tour and I did take it, but I really don’t feel it is too much to ask for a guide to be able to keep up with 5 people. He left to go pick up another person telling us to take some pictures and not hurry. I walked around a building to take a couple pictures. When I returned a few minutes later, everyone was gone.

Oh, I remember this day well. If you walked "around a building" you walked a L O N G way from where I told you I would return. I left you by the "Raven stealing the moon" totem and fish observation deck. I'm glad that I was able to offer you a later tour time where you experienced a full 5-Star tour. I do feel bad about me not noticing a vacant seat when leaving site #1. Your case has caused me to be much more careful about counting heads and vacant seats prior to leaving any and all of our stops.
