What To Expect

Pikes Peak - America's Mountain
This is an amazing experience, with views that defy language. Pikes Peak Highway is 19 miles of paved road to the summit. There are many attractions we stop at and take pictures, and let the views soak in. Once we get above the treeline, it's like a different world. Incredible rock structures and views of distant mountain ranges. Once we reach the summit, we will give you a little tour of the area, tell you some of the things you seeing, and allow some time in the Summit House. On a clear day, you can see 5 states from here. After that, we will leave you to explore on your own for a bit. Food and souvenirs are available at the Summit Complex. We also provide snacks and water for the trip if needed. This is an experience you won't forget.

Besides the stunning views my favorite part was just how informative our tour guide was. She presented herself professionally but always fun and informative. The beauty and majesty of the mountain coupled with the stories behind it all made the entire trip a very fulfilling adventure for us. Highly recommend!

The Pikes Peak Jeep tour is one that I would highly recommend. Our guide was incredibly informative and you could tell that she loved her job. She knew a lot about the mountain and it’s history. She took photos of us during the trip and there were plenty of places that we stopped to explore. We ended up seeing mountain goats, and trying to odd textured donuts up at the top! If you aren’t acclimated to the elevation, I would highly recommend taking this tour because after 9000-12,000 feet, you can start to feel lightheaded, or almost “buzzed.” Plus, driving down the mountain around cyclists and turns with no rails can be terrifying! Overall, super worth the view. I have no idea why so many ravens like to hang out up at the top and fly around, but they do. Expect about a 30° drop in temperature by the time you reach the top! Bring some layers and plenty of water. Leave the driving to the guides and enjoy the view!

We made it to the top of the summit! Ground temp 73, summit temp 37. Riding up was a bit scary due to the cloud cover, and unfortunately due to the clouds there were limited views from the top. Our guide, Suzanne, was the best! If you want to head up Pikes Peak go through Mountain Jeeps LLC - a great experience that we’ll never forget!
