Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

Booked a last min surf lesson for my 13 and 11 y/o's and Jonny and his team were AMAZING. My 11y/o daughter has some special needs (learning disorder) and Jonny and his team took the time to make sure she felt 100% comfortable in the water and taking lessons. She will often times not participate in activities like her older brother but the Sandbar Surf School Team had both of my kids wanting more after their first 2 hour lesson. Thank you. You made our short Summer Vacation one to remember and the kids are already asking when we can go see Uncle Jonny and his team again. I would recommend to anyone with small child or anyone with a child on the spectrum that needs extra love and attention, this is the place. Great for adults too.

My kids have always wanted to learn to surf, so I surprised them with a lesson on our latest trip to the beach. Jonny, Kelsey and their jr instructor Brody were amazing instructors. They were encouraging and knowledgeable. Everything was provided and the cost was very reasonable. As soon as their lesson was over, they both immediately asked when they could do it again! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Pismo.
