Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

Great fun. Friendly, good and patient teachers. Waves not to hard so good for firstimers like we where. We will defenately recomend this as a fun activety on your roadtrip.

My brother and I (ages 26 and 15) took the 2 hour surf lesson with Sandbar Surf School at Pismo beach. We made a last minute reservation and they were very accommodating. The organisation was done well - instruction to meeting location was easy to follow, lesson started on time, and all of the equipment were provided. We practised standing up on the beach before getting to the water and it helped a lot. With their help, both of us were able to actually stand up! I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to try surfing!

This summer we made a roadtrip in western USA with a bunch of friends. We had lots of "DO's" and obviously the surf lesson was part of them. We were all beginners. In the morning when we arrived, the weather was not so good and some of us were not so motivated anymore. But as soon as we got in the water with Jonny and his team it was all forgotten. We had such an amazing time! We even suceeded getting up on the surf thanks to Jonny and his team's advices! We had so much fun and we discovered a new activity! For sure we will try again very soon in France and I really hope I'll be able to come back to Pismo to surf with Jonny and his team again! After 3 weeks of travel, this surf lesson was for sure one of our favorite memories! Thanks again Jonny!
