Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

We did 3 weeks of lessons this summer. Every instructor was encouraging, supportive and seemed to truly care about my kids. I went from one of my kids interested in learning to surf to all 3 after their first lesson! We even brought our foreign exchange student who was hesitant at first and surfing by the end of the class. You won't go wrong choosing Sandbar!

I had such a good time learning how to surf with my friends and the group I was in! Everyone was friendly, kind and helpful! Especially the staff (Johnny, Jessica, and Mika)! Most importantly, they were EXTREMELY encouraging and that motivated me to get some awesome waves! Thanks guys, totally glad I chose y'all!!

So much fun!!! The teacher were all friendly & helpful. Evan & Micah & Jonny & Chance & Clover made my 2 day adventure very memorable :) I would definitely return!
