Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

Absolutley brilliant team to share our first surfing experience with, thanks for the dolphins and seal addition also, really made our trip to California one to remember! Couldnt recommend it highly enough. Mika and Elle were so helpful.. and patient! Great team which lead to a great time, well worth the long flight from Scotland!

I had just recently gone to these lessons, and let me tell you, it only takes five seconds and you'll never want it to end. With the amazing care and lessons the various insturctors provided, I was able to actually surf by the beginnig of the second lesson. The time and attention they give to each individual was unbelievably helpful. Their constant upbeat and positive attitude kept everyone so motivated to continue and do their best. Whether you are looking for serious training, or just some family fun, Sandbar Surf School is definetly the place to go. So if you ever come to visit Pismo Beach, I definetly reccomend going to the Sandbar Surf School. It will be an unforgattable experience.

My children and I went to the Sandbar Surf School to surf for the first time recently. We had amazing , fun and helpful instructors. My children both want to buy surfboards now and continue learning. Bobby the owner was incredibly helpful and took pictures for us all which created amazing memories. I would highly recommend the Sandbar Surf School at Pismo Beach for a fun experience.
