Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

This place was amazing! Really helpful instructors that gave you a lot of attention despite having other people in the group. The place they take you to is a great place if you have never surfed before. I definitely recommend this if you want to try out surfing.

Sandbar Surf School is a perfect family activity when visiting Pismo Beach. Johnny returned my call immediately when I needed to register our family of six for a group lesson. He texted me the confirmation info, and later called us to make sure we knew where to find his van in the beach parking lot. The instructors were fantastic. They attended to each student individually to ensure at least one good ride. Our family ranged from rank beginner to intermediate surfer. All of them loved the class! All the gear was in great condition and Johnny ensured a perfect fit.

Just stumble across this surf school and thank God. My son and I had a blast and they made it so easy that we were actually getting up and riding waves half way through. I would highly recommend these guys!! Very friendly and made is totally comfortable in the ocean. Thanks Jonny and your staff. DEFINITELY coming back. Todd and Lil Todd
