Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

Booked a lesson at short notice and jonny was great at getting things sorted out. Had a great lesson with ellie, plenty of time in the water and a nice beach to learn on. Would definitely recommend!

The instructors were friendly, personable, and experienced. My children were completely comfortable, and I felt the lessons were well managed and safe. They utilized every minute of the 2 hour group lesson, and offered my 9 year old the extra one on one to ensure her experience was enjoyable. Big thanks to Micah for his extra care and time with my daughter, and Johnny for really caring and wanting everyone to have an enjoyable experience! We highly recommend Sandbar Surf School!

I and my 13 year old daughter had a fantastic morning learning to surf with Sandbar surf school. The instructors were great. We even had "Frank" the seal stop by...a couple of feet away while we were bobbing in the water with our surfboards. How cool is that? Perfect day. Quintessential California experience. Just do it. 😀
