Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

I highly recommend Sandbar Surf School to anyone looking to learn how to surf. Jonny and his staff are fantastic! The price point is great for the central coast, one of the cheapest i could find. Too often are cheaper prices associated with reduction in quality and/or experience. We've all heard the old adage "You get what you pay for." which can be used to refer to superior/inferior products or services, in either case the connotation is limitation. I'm happy to report with Sandbar Surf School not only do you get to keep a few bucks in your pocket, but its an amazing experience and you will receive very high quality(superior) instruction! Thank you Sandbar Surf School for helping begin the journey of learning how to surf. Now my 6 year old want to learn how to surf i will be def returning to Sandbar Surf School.

My son took lessons with Johnny at Sandbar Surf, his entire staff are excellent with all the children and give them a lot of individual attention which made me and my son Phillip feel very safe. We both highly recommend taking lessons with Johnny, it will truly enrich your life!

My husband and I took our 10 year old daughter for a surf lessons with Johnny and Christina at Sandbar surf school in Pismo beach. They were awesome, so great with kids and all the others participating. Within the first he or less she was up on the board, had an excellent time. We will definitely be back and will be referring our friends!!!
