The scenic cruise is our one-hour dry tour of beautiful Kings Bay. You will cruise through the beautiful bay looking for wildlife while the captain points out the highlights of the area. During the cruise there is always the chance of seeing manatees, but it can never be guaranteed. These are wild animals in their natural habitat that come and go as they desire. Our tour boats are fully covered to protect you from the sun and rain. Besides manatees there is always a chance of seeing dolphins, otters, turtles, a variety of birds and fish. Every tour is unique!

Pleasant boat tour on the Crystal River with Captains Mike and John. We saw several manatee plus many birds and water fowl. John was both informitive and entertaining with facts and stories about the wild life and ecosystem. Fun for the whole family.

What an amazing experience!! First we rented kayaks and went out on our own for a short time. Every staff member was wonderful and gave us tips to get the most out of our experience like where to look for osprey nests and where earlier tours saw the most manatees. When we came back we wanted more and asked if they could arrange a private tour for us. They made it happen and in an hour we were back on the water in a very comfortable pontoon boat with Captain John. Captain John was spectacular!! His passion for the gentle giants shined through, but he is also very knowledgeable in the entire eco system, the birds, other wildlife, and even plants and trees. Captain John knew exactly where to take us to let the wildlife put on a show!!! He has a great sense of humor and our three hours melted away in an instant, but not before seeing many manatees even though it was a warm day. We also saw many birds including getting up close to an osprey nest. He pointed out how to tell the difference between buzzards and eagles and as if on cue we spotted two eagles. Captain John is an ambassador for the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Whenever he spotted boaters or kayakers not following rules which are clearly mentioned in a safety video we saw prior to going out he would gently correct them with an explanation of what they were doing wrong. We are so glad we stumbled upon this tour. Make it a destination if you are in the area!!!

The helpful staff set us up with a private boat tour. So began our immersion into the many wonders of the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Captain John gave us the experience of a lifetime. With Captain John we explored the landscape and saw many of its most famous residents, the manatees. He was both informative and entertaining. He showed us many different inlets and springs because he knows the region like the back of his hand. Captain John also pointed out many birds, some magnificent osprey nests and we saw several bald eagles. He knew where to position us to get the best experience. We learned a lot and had so much fun. We saw mother manatees with their babies, manatees in a pile and a manatee came really close up to the boat as we were still.
