What To Expect

Plantation Adventure Center

The scenic cruise is our one-hour dry tour of beautiful Kings Bay. You will cruise through the beautiful bay looking for wildlife while the captain points out the highlights of the area. During the cruise there is always the chance of seeing manatees, but it can never be guaranteed. These are wild animals in their natural habitat that come and go as they desire. Our tour boats are fully covered to protect you from the sun and rain. Besides manatees there is always a chance of seeing dolphins, otters, turtles, a variety of birds and fish. Every tour is unique!

We were late for our original booking and the boat had already left, they had emailed us - unfortunately we hadn't received It because our previous tour ran late. We arrived and were told we could go at the same time the following day If we wanted to. I was so Impressed with that (as most places would not honor the trip) - we went the next day and really enjoyed It. Our captain was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend going on this cruise.

Spent an informative hr. on the water with Dallas and Mark. Saw a few manatee heads come to the surface as well as a momma and calf. Also saw a small gator and numerous osprey. Generally a good time except for the blabber mouths next to us on the trip which made it difficult to hear some of the info being shared by the crew. Seating is a bit tight on boat but you can get up and move about some so that helps. Company that sponsors trip is excellent as they credited us with the following day because we were late the previous day due to a half hr. traffic snafu. Boat leaves at 2:30 sharp, so be on time. Definitely worth the cost but for the real manatee experience a dive or snorkel cruise would be best.
