What To Expect

Plantation Adventure Center

The scenic cruise is our one-hour dry tour of beautiful Kings Bay. You will cruise through the beautiful bay looking for wildlife while the captain points out the highlights of the area. During the cruise there is always the chance of seeing manatees, but it can never be guaranteed. These are wild animals in their natural habitat that come and go as they desire. Our tour boats are fully covered to protect you from the sun and rain. Besides manatees there is always a chance of seeing dolphins, otters, turtles, a variety of birds and fish. Every tour is unique!

We had a great time on the scenic cruise. Saw a few manatees including one of the swim with the manatees groups gathered around a manatee and her calf - they were just all hanging out and it was very cool to see. The captains were entertaining and informative. It was a beautiful day, so that made it even better. It's a beautiful place and a great, relaxing ride. My only "complaint" is that the address listed does not work properly in Google Maps, and it's hard to find because there are literally 4 places called Plantation right in a row. We were cutting it close and we could have "missed the boat" because of this, but luckily we had seen this in another review so I was prepared to be given the wrong directions.

Crystal River is a small town and we all tend to follow the same name trend, but thankfully being located on the same property as the 5 star resort separates us from the rest!

My husband, mother, and I really enjoyed our cruise. It provided a great overview of the bay and surrounding area. My husband and I also swam with the manatees (amazing), but doing this cruise the day before was the perfect way to get oriented to the bay and provided an activity that my mother (a senior citizen) could enjoy with us.

The scenic cruise is great at helping guests "get their bearrings" if they are going to be visiting for a couple days! Were so glad everyone was able to enjoy it!
