Overview

This is a compelling, 2 hour, professionally guided tour of the City Waterfront and Port of Tacoma! Enjoy the 12 mile long adventure and sights of bald eagles, seals, Mt. Rainier the Olympic Mountains, ships, tugboats, bridges and the wonders of the secret passage! You will be shown the splendors of the wildlife, history, ecology and adventure on Puget Sound! We travel on a very seaworthy, ex-US Navy boat that is mostly open but has a covered area. Our boats and captains are inspected and licensed by the US Coast Guard. (Senior Age is 62.)

Carlos D. I equally enjoyed the great view of Commencement Bay, Tacoma waterfront and accompanying narration. The knowledgeable captain entertained us with details & history on the landmarks surrounding the bay and also the marine life encountered on the tour. This included harbor seals, sea hawks (not the football type), eagles. It was a perfect "zen" time out on the water, on a perfect calm day!

Thanks, Captain Tom, for a delightful and informative tour of the Thea Foss Waterway and surrounding area. I’ve recently moved into a condo on the waterway, so this was a perfect view of my neighborhood. I especially appreciated hearing about the decades of determined effort it has taken to restore and care for this beautiful area. May we all be a part of its future preservation.

They call Tacoma the gritty city which really stands for the fierce determination and conviction to make things better that has been the way around here for most of history from the very beginning of our town. The entire trip was such a pleasure. The scenery, the informative narration, and just the relaxing time on the water made the experience so enjoyable. Learned so many interesting facts that gave me a new appreciation of the Foss Waterway and just Tacoma in general. Gave new meaning to different sights I have seen since I have been vacationing here. The blue herons, osprey, and harbor seals were an extra treat as we made our way around the sound. Seeing the landmarks and architecture from the water gave me a totally different perspective. Thank you, Captain Tom, for making this trip one to remember. Looking forward to your Gig Harbor Sunset Cruise on my next trip to Tacoma. You were like a library of information and it will all be. so interesting to reflect on as I view my pictures once I am home.
