Fantastic tour. The perfect combination of all my favorite things. Food carts. Biking. Hipster coffee shops. And ice cream! Jesse was a terrific guide. He was very engaging and shared a ton of info on Portland and the local food scene. The bike ride was pretty mellow. Riding along the riverside on a beautiful summer afternoon was exhilarating. Having taken a walking tour of the city as well, I feel like a bike tour was a much better way to see the city. We got out to a lot of the less touristy neighborhoods east of the river. I give this tour my highest recommendation.

We took this tour our first day in Portland, and it was essential for us to get comfortable riding in the city. We're mountain bikers who normally avoid riding on streets with cars at all costs. Ben and Jesse were great about taking the time to show us how bike lanes, signals, markings, and bike etiquette all work in bike-friendly Portland. By the end, we felt like pros, and the next day we rented bikes for the day and were completely comfortable doing our own exploring. Oh, and the food was great. We loved the coffee shop we visited so much that we returned there the next day on our own! Ben and Jesse also had other good recommendations that we were able to check out later.
