Overview

We've always had a passion for donuts, but only recently did we realize just how many others do too. And when looking around, we didn't see anything that truly celebrated donuts in all their glory, hence the Underground Donut Tour was born. This tour is for anyone who truly enjoys donuts. At each location, you'll be able to try a curated sample of one of that location's best donuts. Many locations offer vegan, gluten or nut free options, however, please make sure to let us know ahead of the tour, so we can make sure to highlight those specifically for you. Our tours include such favorites as Coco Donuts, Blue Star Donuts, Nola Doughnuts, Voodoo Doughnuts and more.

What a fun way to burn off some calories, a walking tour! Oh, but wait, 12 quarters of 12 different types of amazing donuts from 4 very different style donut shops while walking, skip the calorie burn and just enjoy the experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the shops and their donuts and had so many little tidbits to share about the neighborhood. He went the extra mile and in each of the four neighborhoods we went to shared restaurant/bar/sites to see. This is a fun way to start your day!

I feel like in order to really experience a city you have to walk and eat! We had heard about Portlands donut scene, and thought a guided walk would be a great way to see the city. Beau was an amazing tour guide! He was friendly, funny and energetic. He answered any questions you had and suggested places to visit. He’s one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. Ironically I’m supposed to eat gluten free… another guest on the tour mentioned that she was also gluten free. The guides heard us and made accommodations for us. We each received 4 gluten free donuts from Sesame Donuts. They we so delicious and had the texture of a cake donut. If you’re not gluten free, You will receive a quarter of a donut with about five flavors at each location. They say it’s about 3 total donuts, but they have extras and pass those out at the end. We brought a little plastic container, but they will give you a paper bag to keep your left overs in. I feel like the tour is very well priced! You get at least 3 donuts, they will purchase a small drink for you, and a guided tour of the city. So worth the money!

A dozen tastings (3 donuts) while walking to four different donut shops was perfect. So many great flavors but not so full I had to be rolled home!
