Overview

We've always had a passion for donuts, but only recently did we realize just how many others do too. And when looking around, we didn't see anything that truly celebrated donuts in all their glory, hence the Underground Donut Tour was born. This tour is for anyone who truly enjoys donuts. At each location, you'll be able to try a curated sample of one of that location's best donuts. Many locations offer vegan, gluten or nut free options, however, please make sure to let us know ahead of the tour, so we can make sure to highlight those specifically for you. Our tours include such favorites as Coco Donuts, Blue Star Donuts, Nola Doughnuts, Voodoo Doughnuts and more.

Bo and Ian were great tour guides through downtown Portland and we got to sample a wide variety of donuts. I'm actually not much of a donut person but the beignets at NOLA are killer! (That was the highlight for my 14 and 16 year old, too. They had never tried beignets before.) If your hotel isn't downtown and you're doing Parking Kitty just know that this is a 2 hour tour and it's not a loop, so you will need to make about a 20 minute walk back to Sesame Donut. Would recommend finding a 4 hour spot. We ended up spending several hours downtown, going to Powell's Books after the tour.

Tasting all the exotic donuts was fun and filling, but I think the great value of this tour comes from all the tips for things to do and places to eat, etc. Ian was an amazing source of what to do and where to eat! So, take this tour on your first day in Portland.
