Premier Juneau Whale Watching Expedition

Overview
Your 3 hour whale watching adventure begins when you board a coach bus that departs downtown Juneau from the Mt. Roberts Tram parking lot. A 25 minute journey through the picturesque landscape of Southeast Alaska will take you to Auke Bay Harbor. “All aboard!” and you’re off for Alaska waters and the ultimate whale watching experience. The star of the tour is the humpback whale, but we are always looking out for sea lions, bald eagles, or the playful orca. The whales are here to feed in our abundant Alaskan waters.  Our naturalist guides you on a 2 hour whale watching tour. With our experienced captains and Juneau being one of the best ports for whale watching in Alaska, this tour will be an unforgettable experience. A light snack and refreshments will be provided.

Jayden the naturalist guide and Kara our captain were both great. You could tell Kara didn't want to leave! We had to race back to the dock. We saw 5-6 whales in a feeding area-- lots of other boats were there, too. Mama and baby were a big hit and loved the catalog that showed how they identify all the whales in the area by their tail coloring. Who knew? The truth is, the whales are pretty far away when compared to some of these photos. Supposed to stay 100 yds from them (they can of course swim closer). Still well worth it.

June 1, 2019, Capt. Ed, Pauly, and Russell found a humpback and her calf quickly. The calf was breeching so often that photos were easily taken! We also saw sea lions and an eagle. Great experience! Great price. I would highly recommend. I booked independent of the cruise ship and had no problems in making it back to the ship on time.

Today was a great day for whale watching. Captain Josh found 2 Killer Whales at our first stop. We moved to another spot where we saw numerous Humpbacks. Marina’s knowledge and enthusiasm made the trip extra special. Thanks to the crew and Mother Nature for a spectacular show
