Premier Juneau Whale Watching Expedition

Overview
Your 3 hour whale watching adventure begins when you board a coach bus that departs downtown Juneau from the Mt. Roberts Tram parking lot. A 25 minute journey through the picturesque landscape of Southeast Alaska will take you to Auke Bay Harbor. “All aboard!” and you’re off for Alaska waters and the ultimate whale watching experience. The star of the tour is the humpback whale, but we are always looking out for sea lions, bald eagles, or the playful orca. The whales are here to feed in our abundant Alaskan waters.  Our naturalist guides you on a 2 hour whale watching tour. With our experienced captains and Juneau being one of the best ports for whale watching in Alaska, this tour will be an unforgettable experience. A light snack and refreshments will be provided.

Awesome day! The boat crew( Charlie, Lena, and Captain Jordan) was amazing! We saw a pod of orcas and 3 humpbacks! Fabulous photographing moments.

Lots of memorable experiences: the bus ride commentary from pier to Mendenhall Glacier sprinkled corny jokes in with great background on Juneau as we passed by historic sites. It was raining at the Glacier, but the hike up to Nugget Falls and the view of the Glacier were well worth getting soaking wet. From there we shuttled to Auke Bay for the whale watch portion. Captain Jordan and crew Lena & Jayden kept us well-informed about what we were seeing: that included plenty of the promised whales - all Humpbacks (we didn't see any Orcas on our tour) - and the Captain kept a respectful distance from them, but got us close enough for terrific pictures while we learned about whale behavior. We also saw sunbathing Stellar sea lions and bald eagles soaring above. And we returned to port with enough time to sightsee/shop some more before our "all aboard" time. Definitely recommend Juneau Tours!

Highlight of our Alaskan trip so far! Marina, Dave and Captain Jordan really made our day extraordinary! Knowledgeable and FUN, they know the area so well, they guided us to humpbacks breaching, orcas and dolphins frolicking and beautiful sights of snow-capped mountains. They are the best. If you are lucky enough to get this crew, your visit to Juneau will be fabulous!
