Overview

Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

Tour time is a check-in time; departure is within 15 to 30 minutes.
The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes
Always check with us regarding the shuttle schedule if you want to spend more than 1.5 hours at the Glacier park

Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

I would like to thank Danielle, Lukas, and Captain Dan for giving my kids and I a wonderful whale watching experience. They were all very knowledgeable. We not only saw humpback whales, but orca whales and sea lions too! Everything was seamless about this tour--the pickup point is easy to find from the ship, the bus drivers tell you so much about Juneau as they drive, all the tour guides seemed like they were great (there were at least 3 other boats out at the same time), and we had plenty of time at Mendenhall Glacier. At the glacier you are on your own and you can take the shuttle back to Downtown whenever you are ready to. We had time to walk to Nugget Falls and more. This is my 7th cruise but the first time I ever booked tours NOT from the cruise line. They scare you with the "book from us, otherwise you might get left at port" but that has to rarely happen. Book your excursions with enough time and you will be FINE. You will save money and have an amazing tour!

Everything was fantastic. The bus drivers are friendly, knowledgeable and humorous. The staff on the boat couldn't have been better....Luke and Ed with their knowledge and experience, Luke with his whale dance and Charlie with her seal calls! I recommend this trip for anyone.

Fantastic time out today watching whales and sea lions! Jayden and Marina were fun and personable. Highly recommend! Jayden’s mom should be very proud of him! He’s doing well in Alaska at his new job! Captain Josh is awesome as well! #youngliving was here. @polishingmylife
