Booked this trip from our Holland America cruise ship. Probably the most knowledgeable and interesting tour guide we had during our stay in Canada / Alaska. The high speed boat ride to find whales was... high speed! and we had good views of 3 or 4 whales. Just a bit concerned that so many boats seemed to surround one whale- didn't feel quite right!! Then on to the Mendenhall glacier. A short stroll through some woods to the lake and a view across to the glacier, about a mile away. I must say that I had expected to get a lot closer to the glacier, and even to walk on it. I must say that this part of the tour seemed rather rushed- would have liked longer to walk along the lake shore to the visitor centre or even round to the massive waterfall, also about a mile away.
