We took our first Alaska cruise with our 10 and 12 year old boys and chose this tour for our stop in Juneau. It was amazing! We first got on a boat that held about 20 people along with two naturalists. I wish I could remember their names because they were great. The guy was from Utah and the girl was from Juneau. We saw about seven whales and all of them showed us their tail, which was magnificent! One whale even laid on his back and flapped both his arms in the air. Our boys thought it was super cool! We only had an hour to explore the glacier area which was not enough time to do the waterfall walk. Itā€™s about an 1.5 round trip. It was beautiful all the same and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

We visited the Mendenhall Glacier and Info center and then took a shuttle to the tour boat. Danielle and Rusty were great and we saw many whales the day we took the tour. The weather was beautiful! Also saw several bald eagles. A very enjoyable day :-)
