Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes
Always check with us regarding the shuttle schedule if you want to spend more than 1.5 hours at the Glacier park

Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

Overall it was a okay excursion. Some major issues is that their Naturalist is super soft spoken and didn't have a mic. So with the boats engines running you couldn't hear a thing. The other issue is that the boat would not get very close to the whales, so it was hard to see them from the distance. We did another excursion in Sitka and the boat got much closer and we were able to see much better

From start to finish, this was an excellent tour! The bus drivers, who moved us to and between the whale watching and glacier, were informative. The boat we rode on, whilst watching whales, was a top tier tour boat that had room inside for keeping warm and dry, and open decks in the front, rear and on top for outside viewing. Our boat captain expertly spotted and maneuvered us into position to get great views of over a dozen whales. The Mendenhall Glacier was just sad, and that is not the fault of the tour company. It has receded so much, that the best views of the glacier are from the parking lot and first photo viewpoint. After an easy one mike hike, we snapped some great photos with Nugget Falls,
