we booked the 9:30am tour, and get back to cruise at 2:30pm. we saw 7-8 whales, but tails only, no breaching behaviour in Alaska. we walked to photo point trail and the falls trail, also we stopped to watch a wild bear for a while, too a lot of picture. trail time total with bear and picture was 1.5 hours with a 5 years old walk himself. Wear your rain boots for the part, since you need to walk through a shallow water to get closer to the falls.

The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The boat was clean and in good working order. We were able to see several whales and other animals. Would highly recommend.

We saw many Humpback whales. Greatly exceeded our expectations. Saw them "bubble net" herring. Just amazing. The staff were knowledgable and personable. One young man was in the back of the boat with my wife and I and was extremely attentive. He spotted two groups of Humpbacks and explained the Bubble Net process. As if on scrip one group of whales did a bubble net less than 100 yards from us. He spotted several Orca Whales. Which we learned were not whales but were like a Porpoise. We learned a lot about Humpbacks and the local area they used for feeding. The captain was safe and the ride was very smooth even though the bay was choppy. We would rate Juneau Whale Watching a 10+.
