We saw lots of whales. Followed a small pod for quite some time, saw the bubble feeding - amazing. Also saw eagles, sea lions. The whole trip was great. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier. Spent about 1 hr there. The picture point is a quick walk. Should have gone down to Nugget Falls but didn't think we had enough time - definitely did. Well worth the price/time :)

Kara and Emily were excellent tour guides. Both ladies were knowledgeable about whales and the area in which we were sailing. We were able to take an earlier tour, which gave us more time at the Mendenhall Glacier. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience on this tour and highly recommend it to anyone.

Took this tour while on a Celebrity Cruise in Alaska. We were picked up at the cruise ship dock by a bus driver who was very knowledgeable regarding the local area. When we arrived at the dock for the whale watching boats we were greeted by Christi who took us to the boat operated by Emily. We were soon out of the small harbor and on the way the see whales. At one point we were watching several whales breaching the surface and soon we were close enough to get very good photos of the whales. Christi told us all that we needed to know about the whales and the lives they live travelling to Alaska to feed during the summer and to Hawaii and the South Pacific to breed in the winter. It was a truly humbling experience to see these huge creatures in the wild and to appreciate all that nature has to offer. One very interesting point is that Christi and Emily knew the whales by name as they have been watching them and their distinct tail markings for a long time. Don't worry about getting back to your ship on time. Emily will make sure that you have plenty of time to make the ship departure even if you are doing the Mendenhall Glacier tour in combination with the whale watching. We did not visit the Glacier due to another commitment that we had.
