Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes
Always check with us regarding the shuttle schedule if you want to spend more than 1.5 hours at the Glacier park

Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Boat crew was great..knowledgeable, funny, helpful! They were Russell, Jordan and Shawn. We saw orca whales, humpback whales..breaching and flapping their tails and sea lions. Great experience!

Danielle was very educated on the orcas and sea animals. She made the tour very interesting and easy to understand. Great job to Captain Ed, Danielle and Dave. We would definitely book this tour again.

First of all, they gave me $25 refund for cancelling the glacier portion. I have to wonder if it was ever really planned since all of the tour operators pack up around 3-4 pm and it was an afternoon tour. They said they tried to get a hold of me, but I don't have any missed calls or emails that confirm it. I did get to go on the whale watching portion, but the only whales that we watched were humpbacks and I can view them locally here in Virginia Beach during the winter. Some of the information was also incorrect about the humpbacks. I have been a docent on our local whale watching tours. Many others though were thrilled with this tour.
