From the window, youā€™ll see Amish homes, schools and farms. Depending on the season you might see Amish working in their fields, children riding on scooters and horse & buggies traveling to and from. Your driver-guide will be narrating as you see the Amish going about their everyday life. Youā€™ll learn about agriculture, farming techniques, weddings, family traditions and how they live in our ā€˜modern worldā€™. Itā€™s not just all on the bus; we make two stops at Amish farms where youā€™ll get to interact with the Amish folks. Youā€™ll have the opportunity to purchase goods made from the very hands who made them! (not on Sundays)

We loved the Amish Country tour and Jeff was informative and kind. We would have loved to spend more time (and money) at our two stops: the bakery and Amish farm but I guess the tour company wanted to move as many people as possible so we were limited in the amount of time we could spend there. We could have always driven back on our own but the tour was later in the day. Unfortunately Arnie who conducted the house tour gave us all the same information Jeff did so it was boring! I would have wanted to hear more about what was in the rooms the tour took us through. The Pygmy goats and schoolhouse were the highlight of the farm where you take the buses from! The teacher was sweet and answered so many questions, you would have thought we were giving her an exam! All in all, the whole experience was worth the money but could have been better.

Our tours are divided so there should not be repetition; however, sometimes it is out of our control when guests want to know everything and ask many questions! It can cause some things to be repeated. We are glad you enjoyed the tour overall and thank you for the feedback.

Our first experience was the bus tour. Very nice Lady and somewhat knowledgeable but not 100% accurate. We have been to Lancaster many times. After about 15 minutes on the bus the repetitive sites became boring. This tour needs some pizzaz added as well as current information. All corn is not cut with a Machete. The stops seemed to be commercial ... and reeked of "you scratch my back ... etc." Things you could add .... show other sites and venues .. i.e. Sights and Sounds theater, a real roadside produce stand, Strasburg Rail Road Museum, Edged Blade Museum etc. Things to see in the rural Lancaster county area not propane gas tanks and green window shades. The deer farm would have been neat to see but couldn't be seen. I believe there are others that are more visible from the road ...... Over all ... the bus tour was minimally informative and mostly boring.

Our guides have a lot of experience and information to share so we're not sure who you are referring to as your guide. While there are many other attractions in Lancaster, our goal is to educate the public about the Amish culture and community. For those who want to explore our area, you should contact Discover Lancaster which is the visitor's bureau.

For an almost $30 package, the guided tour bus is just so so compared with my experience in the guided trolley tour in Hershy's Chocolate World. I believe the worthiest part is the tour in the farm and house, as that should be some unique experience to display Amish culture. The farm is tiny and animals are really limited. I may not consider another 3-hour tour in the future, unless I can fully experience Amish's family's real life.

Thank you for the feedback. Our premium package is our most popular tour. The surrounding farmlands offer the inside look into the working farms and businesses of the Amish community. Our historic farm has a large variety of animals on the 15 acres we have here, so most find it just the right size to get a glimpse of everyday life.
