Escape the hustle & bustle of the 21st century... visit Amish Country! Our three-part tour will give you an authentic glimpse inside the Amish Community.
--Join us for a tour inside our 1805 farmhouse, which was last occupied by an Amish family. Your guide will explain the history, customs, clothing, and culture as you visit the various rooms of the home.
--Travel through the Amish countryside in our 14-passenger mini-buses. Keep your camera ready as you see Amish schoolhouses, buggies, barns, farms, historic homes, and beautiful farmland vistas.
-- Meet with the Amish owners and purchase handmade souvenirs at quaint Amish stores along the way. (when available, no Sundays or Amish holidays.)
--Enjoy a self-guided visit on our historic farm. Our 15-acre farm is home to an authentic Amish one-room school, Amish scooters and 12 different types of animals. We have various artisans and Amish craftsmen on our farm, seasonally.

What To Expect

The Amish Farm and House

Sit back, relax and let us take you through the real Amish country backroads. Your driver-guide will drive 25 miles into countryside not easily found on our own. From the window, you’ll see Amish homes, schools and farms. Depending on the season you might see Amish working in their fields, children riding on scooters and horse & buggies traveling to and from. Your driver-guide will be narrating as you see the Amish going about their everyday life. You’ll learn about agriculture, farming techniques, weddings, family traditions and how they live in our ‘modern world’. It’s not just all on the bus; we make two stops at Amish farms where you’ll get to interact with the Amish folks. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase goods made from the very hands who made them! (not on Sundays)

The Amish Farm and House

We encourage you to come to our farm! There is never any waiting when you arrive, as there's so much to do see and do on the self-guided walking tour of the farm. We also have a gift shop filled with handmade Amish items.

The Premium Package ticket also includes our Farmhouse tour. The guided house tour is a separate tour, included in the price. The guided house tour can be completed before or after your bus tour. Our tour guide will welcome you into our 1805 farmhouse, located on our farm property. As you walk through each room, you’ll learn about what it’s like to be Amish. You’ll learn about their religion, history, clothing, and homelife. -You’ll see examples of Amish girl and boy clothing -Common decorations inside of an Amish home -Specialized kitchen appliances The farmhouse is located on our property. It was onced lived in by an Amish family and we have converted it to be a museum. There are no Amish people living in this house today.

Our tour guide was exceptional! She was very knowledgeable and informative of the Amish culture. What I liked the most were the sights and learning about the Amish lifestyle and how they take care of the needs of their community and volunteer to help others outside their community in other states in times of disasters.

One of the best experiences of my life! The food was delicious but the chicken and the shoofly pie are to die for! The family made us feel welcome and the kids are lovely. I do wish to return again, soon, I hope.

We were very disappointed in the location. The pictures online and in pamphlet do not show you are in a TARGET parking lot. Not at all what we expected. The bus tour was great driver was very good new alot and was able to answer alot of question. Yes you do stop at two "Amish" stores but one was filled with merchandise from China not "Amish" made!!! We probably will not be recommending this to anyone. SORRY

Our farm dates back to 1715 and is one of the oldest continually operating farms in Lancaster County. We still raise livestock and crops to this day. We are extremely grateful to still have 15 acres filled with historic structures. The Target was built in 2005, more than 200 years after our farmhouse and main barn were built and 50 years after we began offering tours. This is the way the Amish live today, intermingled with English homes and commerical properties. We have two Amish farms, next door and across the street from us, that we share equipment with. The tour stops at actual. Amish businesses, we have no control over what they sell, but it should come as no shock that they sell what people enjoy buying. We certainly do not hide the fact that there is a Target next door, it is specifically addressed on our website: "One thing visitors to the Amish Farm & House want to know is: “Why are you located next to a Target?” After more than 60 years in business in business operating on a 300-year-old farm, the story of the Amish Farm & House is one of survival. When the farm and surrounding land (where Target and the shopping center now stand) went up for sale, our future here was uncertain. Plans for a Target and shopping center were in the works, but the Amish Farm & House was not a part of those plans. After weeks and weeks of calls and meetings, we finally convinced the developer to preserve the farmland and the buildings. One unexpected result of Target becoming our neighbors is that we see a glimpse of modern Amish lifestyle. The Amish love to shop at Target so much so that we had to extend our parking shed to accommodate all the horse and buggies!
