We used priority wine pass to help create an itinerary for wine tasting in the Napa area. We loved their selections, there are so many wineries to chose from, and we were looking for smaller more personal experiences vs the large names and had a price limit on the tasting fees. When one winery cancelled our reservation, wine pass responded almost immediately to my email asking for help in selecting a replacement. There are discount codes available if you search to get the passes for $40. Having the 2 for 1 tastings made it economical. Glad we can use them again for a full year.

I purchased the wine pass questioning if it would be worth it. I did not give myself enough time to plan our first visit to Napa & Sonoma Wine Country. In a panic, I contacted them (less than two weeks before we were to leave) to ask for suggestions. Jamie N asked a few questions and gave me numerous suggestions for a 2 1/2 day itinerary. I started calling to make reservations to the wineries that looked like a good fit for us. If I got a "sorry, we can't accommodate you" I moved to the next suggestion for that day. 2 days before we were to leave I still had one time slot to fill. I asked for additional suggestions and we got into one of those suggestions the night before! That winery was probably our favorite! If the 2 for 1 passes didn't pay for the cost of the pass, the personal attention and detail to our trip was! I strongly encourage you to purchase a pass and use their professional services! Jamie N and Andrea were AMAZING to work with!

I urge you to purchase the Priority Wine Pass – order it online. For $50 dollars you will be able to get 2x1 tastings in many wineries (just buy 1 – remember, it is 2x1, right?) as well as discounts. The PWP is good for one year AND it also works in a few wineries in Washington state. The PWP people (JAMIE!) will help you plan the trip with your input about daily budget and types of wine. We would have floundered aimlessly without their assistance. Next, nowadays in the time of Covid-19 it is necessary to make reservations. DO THAT BEFORE YOU LEAVE ON YOUR TRIP! Same day or the day before don't work. Bear in mind that you flash the PWP on site - you cannot book reservations with it. this is clearly stated in the instructions. Also, realize that although you think tastings (about 2 oz. per glass) are puny; remember that you taste a flight equaling about 1 glass. Then you most likely will buy a glass each. If you do 2 tastings + 2 glasses daily that equals approx. 1 bottle of wine per person and believe me, you WILL feel it! Quick tip - Plan your route and schedule no more than 2 or 3 wineries daily. Most open around 10 a.m. and close around 4 or 5. ENJOY!
