What To Expect

Tongass National Forest

Hike through an old growth rainforest that includes a salmon stream where bears are frequently seen fishing salmon.

Totem Bight State Historical Park

Totem Bight has a Native clan house and many totems. A rainforest path leads you to the park which also has access to the beach to explore tidal marine life.

Herring Cove

Herring Bay and Wildlife Sanctuary has the best wildlife viewing on the road system. The salmon creek and hatchery attracts black bears, seals and eagles.

We loved our tour with Karen. She was so comfortable to be with and gave us more than we expected. She was extremely accommodating and informative. We saw eagles, seals and lots of scenery. No salmon or bears as this was out of season. She gave us a full 4 hour tour despite our needing to delay our tour due to a later docking time. We would recommend her to our friends. All the best.
