What To Expect

Grand Teton National Park

The full-day Grand Teton National Park tour will begin close to sunrise to maximize the hours of the day when wildlife is most active. Your naturalist guide will seek out wildlife hotspots, often off the beaten path on unmarked dirt roads in our comfortable 4wheel drive safari vehicles. Make use of our Swarovski spotting scopes and binoculars to view the daily habits of local fauna, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans. After a morning session of uninterrupted wildlife observation, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch, then we’ll continue to explore the natural landscape of the park and if desired by the group, we’ll embark on a short walk, along easy terrain, to observe the smaller wonders of this park. Make sure to pick your expert guide’s brain on topics like animal behavior, animal adaptations, the geology of the area, local botany, and the cultural history of this special place.

Our family had a trip of a lifetime on our private 8-hour Grand Teton/Yellowstone tour. Our guide Seth Latka was amazing and went above and beyond to make our trip special and catered to everything we wanted to see and then added more surprises along the way. Our tour guide Sarah gave us the most unforgettable experience. We were able to capture the most amazing pictures of various wildlife, many of which she took with her camera and shared with us. Among my favorites were the famous Grizzly 399 and her cub, and a bald eagle. She has extensive experience of the Jackson area and surrounding parks, and a great personality, which was perfect since we started our tour at 6am. She was very accommodating to my husband who has some mobility issues. I highly recommend her, although she said all of the tour guides are great.

This tour was the best part of our Jackson visit. We hadn't booked a private tour, but because of others traveling together we were lucky to tour with Eric by ourselves. He gave us so much information and made sure we were able to find wildlife. It was such a wonderful experience I would definitely book with Eco Tour again and would request Eric as our guide, although I believe all the guides love what they do and make sure the guests have a wonderful time.
