  • The duration of transfers is approximate; the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
  • Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase and 1 SMALL carry-on bag. Oversized or excessive luggage (e.g. surfboards, golf clubs or bikes) may have certain restrictions; please inquire with the operator prior to travel to confirm if your excess luggage is acceptable.
  • Wheelchair accessible; please advise at time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required
  • International arrivals: Your driver allows a waiting time of up to one hour; after that, you will be charged a convenience fee. Major credit cards are accepted and receipts are provided upon request
  • Child seats are required for children 8 and under by law and are not provided by the local supplier
  • Please consider the storage capacity for luggage based on number of passengers. For larger groups with larger items, multiple vehicles may be more appropriate
  • Price is per person, based on three passengers per sedan

Sadly, this was a terrible experience for me.. My flight got delayed and I called immediately to verify that I would be an hour later for pick up at the airport and understood that all was good. When I landed I called for my pick up which had been contracted to Carmel Car and Limousine. I was shocked to learn told my ride had been canceled. I had received no calls, texts or emails to inform me and was left stranded at the airport in the middle of the night in a very unfamiliar area, completely panicked. Fortunately some very kind strangers helped me and my friend find a last minute taxi. I called to tell Carmel I should not be charged as this was a flight delay and I called as soon as I heard to inform my driver of the delay. It left me in a potentially very dangerous situation. Why didnā€™t Viator or Carmel tell me they were going to cancel so I could have made other arrangements sooner? Carmel informed me that refunds have to be done thru Viator but strangely they were unable to give me a phone number to call them. Since I booked on line with Viator I did not have their phone number The contacted company said they could not issue the refund and I would need to call the booking company, Viator. I asked for the phone number and unbelievably, Carmel said they didnā€™t have a number for Viator who is based in New York. Carmel is in Los Angeles. Viator calls Carmel to schedule bookings so why wouldnā€™t Carmel know their contact information?? I have contacted my credit card company to dispute these charges. In summary, I would NOT recommend booking thru Viator or Carmel.

Viator should find another supplier other than Carmel. As per other reviewers these guys are rip off merchants. As per paperwork we called the company at baggage claim, couldn't get through for 15mins (coast Ā£14 for call). When we did they said the driver had been waiting an hour (we hadn't even landed an hour ago) and we need to be outside (nothing in the paperwork). We were also told on the phone we should give the driver a big tip as he had been waiting an Hour. Eventually we got going to the hotel at which point the driver said we need to pay a $60 tip as he had waited !! This was on the instruction of his boss - I even got a glimpse of the text message saying to make sure he got the money from us before dropping us of !! I have had many transfers and this is by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to have travelled with, Carmel that is. The departure transfer was no better and is subject to a separate review.

Company owner said they had been there for 2 hours waiting for us. Not true. Had to phone 3 times before someone arrived. Then phone call from owner to give the driver another $40 or they wonā€™t move. This was to cover fuel costs etc. never again.
