Overview

You will depart Rapid City at 8:30am and travel to Mount Rushmore. You will spend time hiking around the monument. Next, you will travel to Crazy Horse Memorial, learning the importance and history of Crazy Horse. Finally, you will get an opportunity to explore beautiful Custer State Park. You will be able to see wildlife at an incredibly close proximity, and enjoy the local flora. In each of these locations, you will gain unique and rare insight into the history of the Black Hills.

There is a two person minimum to book this tour.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial

We will depart Rapid City at 8:30am and travel to Mount Rushmore. Once there, we will spend some time hiking around the monument. You will receive unique information and history about the monument, and have an opportunity to experience local wildlife and flora.

Crazy Horse Memorial

Learn about the rich, and incredible history of Crazy Horse.

Custer State Park

You will get an opportunity to explore beautiful Custer State Park. See wildlife at an incredibly close proximity, and take in the local flora.

I did two private full day tours with Black Hills Adventure Tours in October 2022. (the "Private Black Hills Monument Package and the Spearfish Canyon Tour) The company is very responsive, knowledgable, professional and a delight to work with! Both days jam packed and great to move at your own pace . Still could have spent more days to take it all in. Denny was my guide and we had a fun time touring. The amount of info he knows is amazing and such a nice person. Very caring company. Denny suggested I be sure to do "Devils Tower" while in the area and it did not dissapoint. One of my favorites! I did the Badlands park on my own during the mid day. Got some great photos and saw a few animals but I think the sunset hours would be better.

We booked a full day tour with Black Hills Adventures and it was amazing. It was booked through Carrie and our guide was Jamie. Our tour included Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Needles Highway, Wildlife Loop and much more. Jamie was fantastic and his knowledge of the area, wildlife, vegetation was very thorough and educational. It was our first visit to the Black Hills and this is definitely the tour company to go with.

We had a customized tour of the monuments and Custer State park with our guide, Mark. He made sure that we saw everything on our bucket list and more. We had lunch at the Blue Belle Lodge and that was just great. The food was good and the atmosphere was amazing. We just couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. Mark is an amazing guide - we were two couples in our 70's and he was careful to be sure that the places he took us were suitable for our enjoyment without being too strenuous. I wish we had more time and could have just done these tours every day.
