Sheldon's passion for NYC, his outstanding historical knowledge, and his fun personality made our private NYC tour a wonderful and memorable experience. He was even able to keep the attention of my 14-year old niece during a 6 hour tour. We are grateful to have found Sheldon and am sure we'll reach out to him again on our next visit. You will not be disappointed. Our expectations were exceeded from beginning to end -and beyond. There were three in our party and we were able to customize the tour and transportation to meet our needs and interests. After we selected our tour, we heard from our guide, Sheldon. He was checking in and verifying details. We were able to steer him in the general direction of what we wanted to see, but really we wanted him to show us what he thought we should see. He is, after all, a New Yorker, and he knows and loves his city. We had several travel issues on the way to and from NYC-mechanical, weather, as well as illnesses, and Sheldon was able to work with us on scheduling. We were lucky he could do so and thankful he had some flexiblity. He was witty and charming and full of details and knowledge about the city that we wanted to hear. He left us looking forward to our next trip and tour to see some of what we missed this time- there is so much to see and this is the best way to see it. Having Sheldon as a guide along with a separate driver made it so easy for quick stops when we wanted, or to spend a little extra time someplace if we preferred. I feel like we saw NYC with a friend who knows and loves the city and wants to share it with everyone! 10/10 worth it.

I highly recommend Sheldon of Best New York Tours as a great guy who will really put in a good effort to ensure you get the most out of your city tour. Sheldon guided my wife and I and our teenage daughters on a VIP Tour of NYC by SUV. Sheldon was very responsive as soon as we booked the tour to arrange details and to ensure he planned the day to see everything that we wanted to. Sheldon and his driver were very pleasant and made our day quite enjoyable and very informative. Our pick-up and drop-off were punctual and Sheldon was very knowledgeable in explaining all the sites we visited. In addition to touring all the sites we requested, Sheldon showed us beautiful areas of Harlem and knew a great place to visit under the Brooklyn Bridge for us to Learn of its rich history and enjoy a great view of Manhattan.
