Sheldon was our guide and a man with a mission - to give us the best exclusive look at everything we wanted to see plus more!! Picked up at our hotel we heard details of NYC history no one else has. We knew much about NYC during its beginning, colonial times, persons like Hamilton and Washington, etc. But Sheldon surpassed us with incredible stories about iconic people, sights, buildings that made the tour so much greater than just seeing the landmarks. Coupled with our driver Sam, they made a great team taking us through areas like Times Square, Grand Central, Eatly, Iron Flats, Financial, Lady Liberty, 911 Memorial, Tiffany's, and the like. The private custom tour was amazing. So much to see and so much to learn. What we really liked about the tour was the customization of it. AND the flexibility of the owners of Best New York Tours! We had a person with us who could not walk much so Sheldon organized a wheel chair and a larger vehicle so we fit all comfortably into it. If you like to get to know NY City in one day, this tour is it. A must.

October 28, 2018 we had the pleasure of taking a 5 hour tour of Manhattan and Brooklyn with Sheldon and Sam as the driver. We had met Sheldon 2 years previous on a group tour and were absolutely delighted - we found ourselves running to stay beside him just so we wouldn't miss anything he had to say. We took his business card and booked a private tour with him this year. When he says he imparts enthusiasm in his tours that is heart felt he isn't kidding. He treated us like friends not just customers and designed a tour specifically around our interests. We had our 24 yr old daughter with us and Sheldon made sure her experience was both informative and fun. I just cannot say enough about Sheldon, not only as a tour guide but as a genuine, kind, extremely intelligent and quick witted human being! My one and only suggestion for the tour - take it within your first or second day of your trip and take notes so that you can spend more time doing the things he points out during your fabulous journey with him!
