Private Day Tour From Denver to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park

Overview
This is a private custom tour in a luxury SUV. I am a history buff and have been a private guide for over 12 years. I am certified by the State of Colorado for private driving and guiding for all my tours. I will not only show you the beautiful sites of the Colorado Mountains but I will also give you some of the sordid and salacious details of Estes Park's past. In the Rocky Mountain National Park we can go on small hikes to the Alluvial Fan and other sites such as Spaque Lake or Bear Lake. There are many wild animals to see such as Mule Deer, Elk, Moose and more.

Estes Park is a great place to souvenier shop and stop for a bite to eat from one lof the local establishment that specialize in the local game and food. If the clients would rather go to Grand Lake then I can customize and take that route.

This is a full day where you will see some of the most beautiful majestic sites that exists. We will drive along the longest higest road in America where you will witness these sites.

What To Expect
1
Larimer Square
We will drive by Larimer Square and the new artsy area of RiNo where there are many murals of businesses that are painted each September. This is an area full of coffee shops, restaurants and of course micro beer establishments.
2
Rocky Mountains
We will drive from Denver to Loveland Colorado and then we will enter the Big Thompson Canyon on our way into the Rocky Mountain National Park. Please note in the winter time the Rocky Mountain National Park is closed often above 10,500 feet or so due to snow. However, it is often easier to get to Bear Lake in the park in the winter time due to less crowds.
3
Bear Lake
Bear Lake is a beautiful mountain lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. It has several areas to go for a hike further up the mountains or it is a great place just to go for a walk around the lake. If we decide to fo to Grand Lake instead we may skip this lake if time is of essence or if it is closed. It often is closed after 8 or 9 am and not possible to enter during the busy summer and fall months.
4
Alluvial Fan
The Alluvial Fan is a great area to see the water fall and go for a hike.
5
Estes Park Visitor Center
After spending the day in day in Rocky Mountain National Park we will drive into Estes Park for shopping and perhaps a bite to eat. Then we return to Denver by going through Boulder Colorado which is a beautiful university town with a charming vibe.
6
Boulder Falls
On our way back we will drive back through Boulder Colorado and if time we will stop by Pearl Street Mall
7
Grand Lake Visitor Center
Grand Lake is the largest natural mountain lake in the Colorado Mountains. It also is a great place for a late lunch. After lunch then the drive back through the mountains to Denver is absolutely beautiful. Please note that Grand Lake is not acessable from the east side of the park due to snow in the winter time.
8
Winter Park Resort
We will travel through Winter Park and then go over the popular Birtha Pass or we will return through Boulder Colorado.

It was absolutely an over the top experience! Brad was such an accommodating tour guide, and we saw some of the most beautiful sites ever! Brad really went out of his way to make us feel special and customize our trip to exactly how we wanted it. We highly recommend this private tour far above larger group tours. Thank you Brad for making our day great!

I lived in Denver so trips to Estes Park and RMNP are old hat for me. The new park system requires visitors to get a timed entry into the park and you must enter during that 2-hour window. If you enter during your assigned time, you can leave the Park and return. No timed pass is required before 9am or after 4pm. I stay at a friend's home, so I can't speak to accommodations. During the summer, downtown Estes Park is elbow-to-elbow people. The ideal time for a visit is early June or after Labor Day. The drive up Independence Pass is easy for mountain drivers but can be a bit scary for "flat-landers!" However, It's spectacular and there is still snow at the top in June. The road generally doesn't open until Memorial Day. The snowbank on each side of the road after it's first plowed can easily be more than 10 ft. high. There is also hiking (trails from easy to "you've got to be kidding!", horseback riding, etc. etc. Activities abound.

We had a great time with our guide Brad who showed us the sights of the Rockies and us being handicapped helped my husband get around with his sitting walker and removing walker from car and going and getting drinks for us and also took some pictures for us. We appreciated what he did for us. He was great and we appreciated his help.
