Exploring DC by bike gives you the opportunity to experience DC’s iconic monuments and museums in a personable and approachable way. With your own personal guide, you can relax, enjoy the city's sites so much more and watch history come to life! Adults and children of all ages can enjoy riding bikes together; smaller children may be chauffeured safely by the nationally known bicycle safety expert in his custom family bike to carry children ages 2 to 10 and/or on a tag-along.

All our tours are private tours outside. Our guides are very COVID vigilant for the safety of our guests and our own families. This is one of the safest activities you can do during the pandemic. Your guide will greet you with a mask and once outside we can take off our masks.

What To Expect

White House

We'll check out and discuss some of the White House's amazing history and some remarkable stories. We'll also admire a few of the other nearby buildings of note.

Washington Monument

We'll get as close as we can (currently under reconstruction of the elevator) and learn some of the fascinating stories of the challenges of building the tallest stone structure in the world.

National Mall

We'll ride up the mall discussing key landmarks and the Smithsonians along the way.

Lincoln Memorial

This is such an amazing memorial that if we can, I like to let my guests spend some time exploring here.

U.S. Capitol

We'll soak up great views, discuss some of the building's amazing history, and take family photos with the US Capitol Building.

Our family of four had a wonderful time seeing DC with Jeff as our guide! Our boys (ages 9 and 13) thoroughly enjoyed the trip, as did the adults. Jeff was incredibly knowledgeable, and led us through a fun, multi-hour tour of the highlights of the city. It was a great way to both learn about the city by combining the physical activity with the guided tour (no way would the kids have absorbed as much on a bus or other tour). Jeff was also a very safe guide, both in terms of road rule and ensuring the equipment and bikes were COVID safe. Would highly recommend!

It was so fun showing you and your boys around DC - so wonderful to be outside and feeling like some of the good things are getting back to awesome. And the fact that we could get so much closer to the Capitol Building with some fencing coming down was a wonderful thing. Yes, I agree, the mix of adventure, activity and (dare I say it?) education, is a sweet recipe for fun, learning, and making memories. Our family goes to DC from Florida every Father's Day and we love outdoor activities when we travel. We used Jeff last year to negotiate the C and O canal and were so impressed with his knowledge and personality that we could not wait to see him again. When we got to town on Thursday the COVID induced lack of traffic sparked a conversation between Jeff and I. He shared that the ability to tour DC on bikes to the sights in this unprecedented time would be life changing. We loved his suggestion and took all 5 of us on the tour. My wife and I started 12 miles away from DC on the C and O and then met my sister and her family at the hotel and finished with them all around DC. A 3 hour tour turned into 6 hours because we were having so much fun and Jeff is always so easy to be around. You just want more. We cannot recommend him high enough for anyone looking for a fulfilling family friendly activity in the DC area.

We did a Family Bike trip with Jeff and it was an awesome experience. Our kids are ages 10, 8, and 5.5. The youngest rode a tag along with Jeff and was really enthusiastic about riding with the leader. He is used to a tag along so I would make sure your child is okay with that. Jeff took time to explain many historical facts about DC and we were able to cover a ton of ground on a beautiful day while getting good exercise.
