We really enjoyed our trip with Captain Rich! We were looking for something on a smaller scale last minute and we stumbled upon Capt Rich's site on TripAdvisor. The hubbies were skeptical since there were only a few really good reviews, but we took a chance and we're glad we did. He happened to be available for the afternoon trip. He was very accommodating for the one in our party that was nervous of the ocean by telling her the best place to sit. He knows his stuff and goes through a very thorough safety talk. I totally recommend booking with Captain Rich if you are looking for a smaller boat and more intimate experience. Worth the money!

We booked this trip online with no referral and our first time with Tripdvisor and I have to tell you my expectations were blown out of the water. Our captain wemt out of his way to make sure my granddaughters 21, 13, 12, 8 and myself were comfortable. He showed the girls out to get on the upper seat while letting the little one watched out of the peephole. He then found a couple of pods of dolphins and let the girls get up close and personal on the boat loving every minute of this trip. I would tell everyone I know that if you want the best experience of your life book with the Tailwalker whale and Dolphin boat excursion. I can't thank Captain Rich enough he made our San Diego trip Super!!!

We booked with Captain Rich and had a great time. The boat is very well set up and we got to look out for whales and dolphins away from the crowd on the top of the lookout on the boat. Captain Rich was super knowledgeable and we had the most incredible experience spotting a Humpback Whale and got up close with the dolphins. You get so much closer and it's such a better experience than the larger boats. Just a different experience to have the entire boat and well worth the extra cost. A wonderful day and great value.
