Sep 2019
Our guide for our trip on September 9, 2019, was Brandon. Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn't cooperate this day. Clouds hung low covering the mountains and by the time they had lifted, the lighting was totally blown out. Brandon adapted well and we searched for wildlife, in lieu of landscapes. We did end up finding a cow and calf moose and a black bear, albeit no close encounters. I've been hiking with my camera for 15 years now and I totally understand that little can be done when the weather doesn't cooperate. Brandon, however, figured out a way to make it enjoyable and showed us all of the best spots to hit when the weather was better. He also spent a lot of time teaching us the history of the park and told us stories of cool stuff we never knew about the park. We were able to revisit a few of those spots the following day and get a few keepers. We'd highly recommend Brandon's guide services!!!
