We did the snowshoe and sled tour. The majority of the snowshoeing was walking up an inclined iced paved road to a dead end. There were several people also on the road that were walking with plain shoes/boots.
We then hiked up a nice, snowy hill with great views.
The sled ride was down the icy road we had just walked up. There were several patches of melted ice with revealed asphalt that the sleds would stop abruptly on. The road was quite icy and it was hard to stop the sled.
Overall not terrible, but definitely not what I was expecting from a snowshoe "tour" and I would not recommend or go again.

Thank you for coming snowshoeing with us. Iām sorry this tour was not what you expected. As far as the icy road and pavement showing, this guest has every right to complain. Unfortunately this has been a very mild winter and the snow is starting to melt significantly and pavement is showing on the road but there is still some snow to sled down to the bottom. The conditions are icy but our guides show you how to control the speed and are supervising the whole time and always ready to help. We definitely ensure that conditions are safe for our guides and guests, otherwise we will recommend other tours.
As far as the complaint about walking up the road, we do let you know in the tour description that walking on the road up the hill is required so donāt know why this guest is complaining about that part. We do like to get you in the trees at the top to do some real snowshoeing but with the layout of the land, walking up the road is unfortunately required because we are right next to the ski resort and thatās the only way up.
For others reading this review and considering booking the snowshoe and sledding tour, feel free to contact us and we can thoroughly describe the current snow conditions so you can decide if you want to do this tour or if you want recommendations for another fun tour. And hopefully Mother Nature will give us some more of the white stuff so we wonāt have this problem and we can keep on playing outside!!
