Kevin Draper was our tour guide for the Met. Kevin was absolutely excellent throughout the 2 hour guided tour. Great insight on art and particularly the American artists. He was very unique in that he pulled into the tour lecture insight into the New York City history of the museum and its many prestigious sponsors and donors…from socialites to American industrialists and bankers. I understand that he does other NYC tours in addition to the Met. Be sure to ask for Kevin Draper. While we were fortunate to connect with Kevin at the membership entrance and lobby with perfect timing for our tour, the administrative coordination by the tour organization good be better with more precise instructions on how to meet the guide. Several museum staff helped make it happen and was more than helpful.

We took a tour with Kevin and it was phenomenal. The tour was not only about the art, but brought the pieces to life through the history of the artists/creators, and the often arduous journey that the artwork took to be on display. He was able to hit the highlights and also take us to the less traveled parts of the met. Very special experience. We took another tour with him…as exceptional.

Earlier today my family and I experienced one of the most informative, enjoyable, and worthwhile guided tours of our life. Kevin was simply superb and even added a guided tour of Central Park before our tour of the Met. He tailored the tour to our needs in every respect - duration of tour, subject matter of tour, and pace of tour. We were a diverse groups of kids and adults and yet Kevin managed to make the tour absorbing for everyone. A life-long resident of New York, Kevin combines an unapologetic passion for his home town with a rigorous and detailed knowledge of history and a kind and considerate personality. There are tons of tour options in New York City, but you really don't have to look any further than New York Historical Tours. Next time we head to the Big Apple our first call will be to Kevin to arrange another tour. We can't wait. Thank you so much, Kevin!
