Dewey Bridge
The flight up the canyon will start at the Cisco takeout and proceed up this geologically fascinating canyon to the Westwater takeout. We then loop north for our trip back flying to the semi-ghost town of Cisco. We will set down and visit Cisco’s General Store and explore the once thriving railroad town. We’ll pass through the Yellow Cat mining district and make our approach to the airport over the north end of Arches.

What an extraordinary helicopter tour of the Moab area. Moab HeliX Tours is very professional and well organized. The check-in process was easy and our pilot Mike was awesome, we had a wonderful time while enjoying the beautiful views. It was truly an extraordinary experience to be able to see a part of Moab that so few people ever get to experience. We have been exploring Moab since 1992, and never in a lifetime, would we have been able to see the vast beauty we experienced from the air today. We did a combination tour of the beautiful Westwater Colorado River Canyon, with a delightful stop on the return to where the Movie Vanishing Point came to an end, at the Buzzards Belly General Store in Cisco Utah. Truly an Oasis in the desert! Meeting the owner Jean and hearing her stories of the history and restoration of the General store was as interesting as the flight. Not to mention getting free Ice Cream! The beauty, the thrill, and the great exhilaration was only exceeded by the professionalism of the crew (including Betty) both on the ground and in the air. Wonderful team, wonderful experience! Not to mention getting free Ice Cream!
