What To Expect

Looe Key (Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary)

Looe Key Marine Sanctuary is part of the Great Florida Reef, the only coral reef in the continental USA, and the third largest barrier reef system after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and the Palancar Reef in Mexico and Belize. It is a special place for snorkeling. Your captain will snorkel along with you assuring your safety–though there is nothing to worry about. All of our tours are accompanied by fair weather, calm conditions, and friendly creatures. The captain will lead the way through this groove and spur seascape to reveal barracuda, rays, shark, parrotfish, blue tang to name a few. Looe Key promises to be an experience of a lifetime, and one that you will not soon forget.

Brian took great care of us, especially with a couple of weak swimmers in the group. We spent time at Looe Key then went for a tour of the area.

The highlight of our trip! This was our second time going out with Captain Brian, and we will be back! Captain Brian is experienced, kind, calm, and knowledgeable. He went 110% to make sure that we and our two elementary age kids had an amazing time! My kids say they loved seeing all of the reef fish and the fun boat ride. The communication was great, as we had a windy week and we had to reschedule our snorkel trip for a few days later. And bonus… Captain Brian takes pictures and sends them to you! (As a mom who almost never appears in family photos, this was a true treasure!) Super kind, very professional, and an all-around awesome day! Thank you, Keys Boat Tours!
