This was our second time doing the luxury whale watching excursion - that's how fabulous it is! We booked through our cruise line the first time and booked direct with Alaska Luxury Tours the second time. This trip we were celebrating my dad's 70th birthday so I contacted the team to see if there was anything they could do to make it feel more like a birthday celebration. Their "dream weaver" Jamie spent 30 minutes on a phone call with me asking all about my dad and what he liked and didn't like and brainstorming ways to make it special for him. When we got on the boat, the team had decorated the boat (including a Happy Birthday sign), they had a cake with #70 candles, they had 70th birthday plates, and they put together a little gift. It was so beyond thoughtful and special. They really went the extra mile for us. In addition to the birthday festivities, the naturalist Kelly was so knowledgeable and friendly and spent lots of time with our 7 year old answering questions. Our captain, Sarah, was patient and respectful (to us and the wildlife). We just really had the best time - not to mention we saw lots of whales. There really is no other way to see whales in Alaska than with Alaska Luxury Tours.

This is whale watching in style! The crew was super knowledgable regarding whales to the point they could tell us the whales names we were seeing. I didn't expect to learn as much as I did on the tour. The crew was very kind, helpful, and efficient with the three hours of time we had. It was a fantastic experience!
