What To Expect

River Ventures

After checking in at the tour center you will watch a brief video about the manatees, go over the rules of swimming and how to interact in a manner that is fun for both you and the manatees. You are then fitted for a wetsuit to prepare you for your snorkeling adventure. Your guides will photograph the highlights of your entire manatee swim tour from start to finish, both above and below the water. Upon returning to the tour center, a high-resolution picture CD containing images from your manatee tour will be available for you to purchase if desired.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Captain Chris and our guide Crystal were a stellar team! Lots of cool facts about the route to and from the springs, drinks and snacks, hot cocoa for my cold kiddo, and an amazing close encounter with some of nature’s most beautiful gentle giants. Worth the hour drive. Didn’t even mind the wetsuit.

What an incredible adventure! Even with rainy, low-60s weather, the manatees were out in droves—absolutely unforgettable! Probably no need for a private boat. The water felt refreshing, never chilly. Our guide, Sheila, was a rockstar—sharp, engaging, and dead-set on pointing out every single manatee. Dex our captain was a pro. I’m excited to see the pics. This trip was a total win!
