After seeing recommendations in Facebook travel groups and positive reviews, we carefully selected The Real Hawaii for our North Shore half day tour. The length of time and key places we stopped by were perfect for a taste of the North Shore first timers. Dan's laidback demeanour suited us - it made us feel more relaxed. Points of interest were described with useful information and more importantly, Dan helped us take (or suggested) great photo opportunities. We'd love to do another tour with The Real Hawaii when we're back on Oahu!

The day was wet but our guide Dan made the most of every opportunity for us to get out of his very comfortable jeep and see the most important sights. The Buddhist Temple was magical and it was a good idea of his to see this first. The rain added a mystical quality and as the tour started early we had this enchanting place to ourselves. We particularly wanted to see the big waves on the North Shore. We stopped at Pipeline and Sunset Beaches. There were no surfers as it was mucky and awash. Dan explained that surfers like the water to be clean. Nonetheless we got the idea. Thanks Dan for a great day.

When my husband and I realized that we had a 16 hour block of time from getting off a cruise ship to our 11 PM flight, we looked for a tour which would take us around the Oahu North Shore. We could not have been happier with the tour provided to us by The Real Hawai'i. They accommodated our schedule and worked with us to determine what sights were important for us to see. Dan, our guide, picked us up and the port, allowed us to load our luggage into the White Jeep, and spent the day taking us to beautiful and awesome places around the north shore. We never would have known that some of these places existed and feel so lucky that we did not miss out on this adventure. It was a highlight of our vacation and would recommend The Real Hawai'i for those looking for a tour around Oahu but do not want to drive. I do not believe we could have had a better tour anywhere else.
